Sara Dyson, Medmarc’s Assistant VP of Loss Control, will speak at the AdvaMed MTLI Workshop, “Advertising and Promotion of Medical Devices in the Age of DTC and Social Media Marketing” at the Four Points Sheraton in Washington, DC on November 1-2, 2011.

From products to consumers to regulation and new media—AdvaMed will gather industry practitioners to take a deep dive on the opportunities and challenges of product advertising.  This seminar will teach you how to communicate your value without overstepping legal and regulatory boundaries.  FDA staff, medical technology company leaders, legal experts and public affairs professionals will clarify the boundaries and the best practices for navigating these challenges.  The workshop will include FDA and FTC regulations, risk management, the limits on label and advertising content, off-label use information, social media opportunities and challenges, promotion to providers and direct-to-consumer communications.
